Middle Georgia State University is committed to ensuring a safe learning environment that supports the dignity of all members of the University community. Pursuant to Section 6.6 of the Policy Manual of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (BOR), federal and state laws and regulations, and our vision, mission, and values, Middle Georgia State University prohibits unlawful discrimination, harassment, and retaliation based on any characteristic protected by law. Factors of race, national origin, color, sex, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or disability are not considered in the admission or treatment of students or in employment. To that end, University policy prohibits specific forms of behavior that violate federal and state laws and regulations, including but not limited to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and subsequent executive orders, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as well as Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
