The campus libraries of Middle Georgia State University (MGA) invite students to make use of the many online and in person resources and services available to them. MGA Libraries provide access to a collection of over 310,000 items in support of course work and research. Library collections include books (both print and online), films, periodicals, online electronic databases available through GALILEO, Georgia’s statewide virtual library, and more. GALILEO provides access to more than 300 databases, more than 10,000 full-text periodicals, as well as reference sources such as encyclopedias, directories, Georgia government documents, and e-books. GIL-Find helps you discover books and e-books in the collection. MGA Libraries offer free interlibrary loan service and participate in GIL Express, a service that delivers books from all University System of Georgia institutions. Librarians work one-on-one with students at the reference desks, by phone, and through virtual means such as chat reference and e-mail reference. Research Subject Guides prepared by MGA Librarians are also available. Library instruction sessions are available upon request to learn research skills, critical inquiry, and use of library resources. We hope you will visit your MGA Libraries!

The MGA Librarues provide: quiet study spaces; individual study tables; group study rooms; beanbag chairs at the Macon and Cochran libraries; study rooms with computers; computers for student use; monochrome and full color printers; free Wi-Fi; photocopier; scanners; practice space for presentations; friendly research experts; friendly library staff; research assistance from librarians; food and drink is allowed in designated areas; your Knight Card student ID is also your library card; multiple campus libraries open 6 days a week including evenings & weekends.
The Macon campus library is open Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.; Fridays, 7:30 a.m. – 12 noon; and Sundays, 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Summer hours vary; check library website.
